CDOT has chosen Kraemer/IHC Joint Venture (JV) as the apparent selected team to construct the next segment of Express Lanes on Colorado I-25. CDOT will now enter negotiations with the team and plans to announce the final award in the near future.
The project will increase capacity on I-25 between Johnstown and Fort Collins by adding an Express Lane in each direction. The team will also replace aging bridges and widen others, create new pedestrian and bicycle access under I-25 at Kendall Parkway, and connect the Cache la Poudre River Regional Trail under I-25.
Work is scheduled to begin in 2018 and is expected to be completed in late 2021.
