Quality Control Inspection and Supervisor Positions

Colorado We are seeking individuals to perform Quality Control Inspection and supervision duties for our Colorado division. Responsibilities:

  • Field inspection
  • Supervision and documentation of civil items such as concrete pavements, embankment, reinforcing steel, structure concrete, utility installation, and other related activities
  • Management and coordination of testing laboratories and subordinate QC inspection personnel
  • Coordination with owner-agencies to obtain ongoing approval of work.

Certification Requirements:

  • ACI Concrete Transportation Construction Inspector
  • Nicet Level II or Higher
  • ICBO or ICC Inspector

Skill Requirements:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly motivated and self-educator
  • Must be able to interpret plans and specifications
  • It is critical that applicant be able to make educated quality-control related decisions regarding the acceptability of in-place work

Education/Experience:

  • BS in Civil Engineering or related degree
  • 3-years concrete pavement experience is preferred

Additional Information:

  • Travel may be required
  • Bilingual (Spanish) a plus

Education/Experience

  • Minimum of three (3) years repairing and maintaining large, off-road, heavy equipment in the road construction mining/aggregate, or farming industires.
  • Hands-on knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems and braking systems is desired
  • Knowledge of concrete paving equipment and batch plants a plus
  • In-depth knowledge of hydraulics, electronics, gas and diesel machinery
  • Valid driver's license
  • Proven track record working in a contractor's environment
  • Construction, heavy-highway background
  • Specific experience with Caterpillar equipment a plus

Regional travel will be required.

We require that our mechanics have their own tools for which they receive monthly compensation.
